Snake in the Grass

Punanaamio-kaupasta löytyi mukavannäköinen, pieni käärme:

I found this cute-looking serpent at the Punanaamio-store:

Besides his small size this was very detailed creature:

Käärme on lisäksi mukavan vihreä, ja sulautuisi loistavasti heinikkoon..

Serpent is also nicely green, and would blend in perfectly to the grass..

Olettaisin että Lupescun perhe saa puutarhaansa myyränpyydystäjän ;)

I think the Lupescu family will have a mole-catcher to their garden ;)

Mannekiini-Mannequin

Minimaailmasta löysin myös kauan etsimäni sovitusnuken Lupescun Perheelle:

I also found the mannequin I've bee searching for the longest time, for the Lupescu Family:
   Mannekiini oli jotain kevyttä puuta, ja väärän mallinen, joten jouduin vähän veistelemään sitä.
Maalasin myös nuken uudelleen.

The mannequin is made of some light wood, and it was all the wrong shape, so I had to carve it up a bit. I also painted it up.

Nuken pinnassa on kiiltävää lakkaa, joten tästä on vaikea saada kuvia.

I finished the dummy with some shiny laq, so it's difficult to photograph it.

Tämä on kai tavallaan testikappale, kunhan löydän paremman, vähän kurvikkaamman sovitusnuken tilalle.

I think this is a test-subject, as soon as I can find better, a little more curved-lay model, I'll replace this one.

Sain vihdoinkin laitettua listaa kasvihuoneen nurkkiin, ja pari hyllyä seinään.

I finally managed to glue some batten on the corners of the greenhouse, and even placed a couple of shelves there.

Vaikea tästä oli saada hyviä kuvia..

This was very difficult to photograph at all..

Ovenpielushyllyt ovat aika kapeat, mutta ajattelin tehdä muista vähän leveämpiä.

Shelves side by side with the door are kindanarrow, but I toughed I'd make the rest of them differently.

Kukkalapio näyttää vähän mittasuhteita..

The little spade models those measurements a bit..

Saahan näillekin hyllyille jo jotain. Ei ihan kukkia, mutta jotain lannoitepurkkia, tai sen sellaista.

Maybe plants won't fit to these shelves, but maybe some fertilizer-cans or so.

Kirjastouudistus-Library re-new

Lelulaatikon jälkeen laitoin suitsukelaatikon tähteet nukkekodin kirjastoon uudeksi kirjahyllyksi:

After the toybox I placed the incense-box left-overs to the dollhouse library to make a new bookcase:

Aurinko paistaa kauniisti valaisten tomuisen kirjaston.

The sun is shining beautifully and illuminates the dusty library.

Lähikuvia yritin ottaa uudesta hyllystä myös. Shakespeare näyttää aika yrmeältä..

I also tried to take some close-ups of the new bookcase. Shakespeare seems kinda grumpy..

Luonnonvalossa tämä näyttää parhaimmalta :)

Lelulaatikko-Toybox

Aiemmin ostamieni suitsukkeiden mukana tulleista rasioista toinen päätyi tuunattavaksi, ja tein siitä lelulaatikon nukkiksen vanhaan lastenhuoneeseen:

Another box of those incenses I already bought earlier got tuned up into a toybox for the old nursery of my dollhouse:

Sahasin vain yhden lokeron irti, pyöristin kulmat, maalasin, ja koristelin.

I just sawed off one piece, rounded up the edges a bit, paited, and decorated it.

Decorative pictures are prints and brochure-clippings.

Juku, tulipas taas Halloweenmainen (ja aika pitkä sana) laatikko.. leikitään yllättynyttä?

Gee, that sure is Halloweenish (what a weird word) crate, hu.. Let's all act surprised, ok?

Nukkia nukeille-Dolls for dolls

Löysin jälleen Cernit-massailu tähteitä, ja valmistin niistä pari nukkea Lupescujen lastenhuoneeseen:

I found some Cernit mas-molding scraps and made some puppets of them for the Lupescu family nursery:

Viikatemiehen pää on joku vanha kallo-kokeilu, kummitus jäi ylimääräiseksi niistä pesusoikon ulisijoista :)

The head of the reaper-man is some old skull-testing, and the spook was a left-over of those who are howling in the bucket :)

Vaatteet ommeltu sekalaisista tilkuista; Vanhasta t-paidasta ja kissan sideharsosta. Kummituksen kahleet kaulakorusta, ja viikatemiehen viikate tehty pahvista.

the clothes I sewed of misc. cloth-clippings; The old t-shirt and gauzes of a pet-cat. Spooks chains are made of old necklas and the scythe of the reaper-man is made of cardboard.

Ainakin kummitukselle löytyi jo paikka. Viikatemies päätynee hallin nojatuoliin.

At least the spook settled in allready. I guess the reaper ends up in the hall chair.

Suitsukeperjantai-Incense Friday

Suitsukeostoksilla (taas) bongasin pienen paketillisen kartiosuitsukkeita, joiden mukana sai tällaisen pienen polttokipon:

Oli ihan pakko ostaa vain lautasen takia suitsut :) Niin, ja kyllähän minä Santelipuusuitsukkeista tykkään muutenkin, niin..

I just had to buy it because of the plate :) Well, I also like Sandal-wood incense, so..

Erityisesti pidän tuosta pohjakoristelusta, en tiedä, kuinka tuo on tehty, mutta kaunis se on:

Karanneet helmet-Runaway beads

Tein eilen helmitöitä, ja lakaistuani maton löysin helmipudokkaita aika rutkasti..

I made some beadwork yesturday, and found some dropped beads alot after sweeping the carpet..

Niistä syntyi sitten pari helminauhaa talon väelle.

So I made a couple of piece of jewellery for the family.

Ensimmäinen koru on sekalaisista muovi- metalli- ja lasihelmistä, toinen karneoli- kivihelmistä.

That first necklace is made of misc. plastic- metal- and glassbeads, and the other one of carneol- stonebeads.

Vera-täti mieltyi molempiin..

Autie-Vera likes both of them..

Enkelinpuolikkaat-Halves of angels

Muistaako kukaan enkelikoristeita, jotka löysin joulunaikaan Tiimarista? Sai vihdoin tuunattua koko pesueen, ja tältä näyttää nyt:

Does anyone remember those angel-ornaments I found from the Tiimari-shop around christmas? I finally got to tune up the whole batch and this is how they appear now:

Pesin siis pinnasta pois paksun, valkean maalikerroksen ja kultaukset. Uusi pita saatiin aikaan vedellä ohennetulla akryylisekoituksella:

So, I washed off the thick layer of white paint and gilding. The new surface is of acrylic-paint mixture thinned with water:

Lähikuvaa. Näistähän saa jo kalmistoon tai puutarhaan kauniita kasvoja :)

Mokailua..-Blundering..

Löytyi näköjään yksi unohtunut postaus jota en ollut julkaissut. Outoa..no, laitetaan tähän väliin tulemaan. Tällaista siis tällä kertaa:

I found one post I never bublished. That's weird..well, I can post it no. So, here's the forgotten one:

Tämä alumiinifoliorulla on vilahtanut jo aikaisemmissa postauksissa, mutta esittelen sen nyt.
Folio siis todellakin on oikeaa, sopivan kokoiseksi leikattua alumiinifoliota.

Thi aluminum foil has shown in some of my earlier postings, and for some reason I missed the introduction of it.
The foil really is real aluminum foil, cut into a rightfull sized piece.

Pahvirulla kierretty ohuesta pahvista ja silattu Erikeeperillä. Kuivuneen rullan päälle käärin sitten folion, ja hyvä tuli :)

That roll inside is made of thin cardboard and finished with the EriKeeper-glue. After the roll had dryed I wrapped it inside the foil and that's it :)

Uusi kori-The new basket

Viikonloppuni oli kovin hidas, taas kerran, mutta jotain sentään sain aikaiseksi. Tällainen kori löytyi HobbyPointista:

My weekend was sooo slow, once again, but at least I accomplished something. This basket was found from the HobbyPoint-store:

Pienellä tuunauksella siitä syntyi piknik-kori:

With a little tune-up it bacame a picnic-basket:

Leipä tehty taikataikinasta, ja juusto Cernit-massasta. Astiat ja pullo HobbyPointista, mutta pullon tuunasin itse. Liina on alunperin Camembert-pakkauksesta.

The bread is made of salt-dough, and the cheese of Cernit polymere-clay. The dishes and the bottle are from the HobbyPoint-store, but I tuned the bottle up myself. The cloth is originally from a Camembert-package

Harmaa mekko-Gray dress

Ompelin Sabine-rouvalle kevään kunniaksi uuden mekon:

I sewed new dress for the Mrs. Sabine for the spring-time:

Mekko on ommeltu vanhan t-paidan paloista. Napit koristenappeja.

The dress is made of pieces of the old t-shirt. Buttons are decorative-buttons

Selässä olkaimet ristiävät. Näyttävät paksummilta mitä ovatkaan.

In the back straps cross each other. They seem thicker what they really are.

Yrteistä-Of herbs

Nämä yrttitaulut tein pahville liimatuista tulosteista. Vasemmanpuoleisen kehykset on tehty tulitikuista, oikeanpuoleiset hammastikusta.

I made these herbal-pictures from prints glued in cardboard. Frames of the one on the left is made of matches, and the ones on the right from a toothpick.

Oikeanpuoleisia tein kaksi, ja se lähti eteenpäin swapissa. Jäljelle jäänyt päätyi kasvihuoneeseen.

I made two like the one on the right, and sent one forward in a swap. The one I kept ended up in the greenhouse.

Vihdoinkin sain jonkinlaisen oven väkerrettyä kasvihuoneeseen:

Finaly I did it, and made some kind a door for my greenhouse:

Ovi on tehty pleksimuovista ja paksusta pahvista, ja on, tietenkin, avattavaa mallia.

The door is made of acrylic-glass and thick cardboard, and, of course, it opens up.

Jos jossain välissä saan paremmat materiaalit, teen oven uusiksi, kun nuo karmit ovat vähän liian leveät..

If at any time I get myself some better materials, I'll re-make the doon because the current frames are too wide-looking..

Pieni oravapatsas sopii mielestäni hyvin puutarhaan. Hahmo on lahja äidiltäni.

This little squirrel-statue fits into the garden just fine. The figurine is a gift frommy mom.

Figurine is a finding from the town market-square of Kuopio.

Lintu on kovin pieni, ja vaikea kuvata tarkasti.

The bird is very tiny, and it's difficult to have any good close-ups.

Tarvitseeko sanoakaan että tämä päätyy Lupescun perheen esineistöön ;)

Do I even need to tell you this goes right to Lupescu family treasury ;)

Suu makeaksi-For the sweet-tooth

Innostuinpa taas leipomaan nukkekotiin. Tällä kertaa jotain moccapalan tapaisia kaakuja:

Once again I baked something for the family. These look like brownies:

Kakkuset Cernit-massaa ja kuorrutus kangasväritahnaa. Leivosrasia taiteltu tulitikkuaskista.

These cakes are made of Cernit polymere-clay, and the icing is some fabric-color paste. The cake-carton is made of match-box.
