So I finally found a herbal cabinet for Granny, where she can keep all her witchery-stuff out of sight. It required some tuning, but it turned out swell. So, here's the "before" -shot:
Kaapin väritys oli jo itsessään hyvä noin, ja saranat oli hienot. Ovennupit sen sijaan lähti ensimmäisinä..
I liked the color as it was, and I really liked the hinges.The doorknobs were the first ones to go..

Ah, pajavasara ei petä. Vähän klommoa pintaan, ja tummaa lakkaa päälle. Saranoihin sutaisin vähän hopeamaalia, ja ovenkahvat taittelin rautalangasta. Laatikoiden vetimet on naulankantoja.
Oh, I can allways trust on my cross-peen hammer. A couple of dents on the surface and some darl lac on top. Hinges I painted over with silver-paint, and the doorhandles are made from wire. Pullers of the drawers are actually nail stems.
Sisältä maalasin tummemmaksi ja lisäsin hyllyn (pahvia) tuonne alakaappiin. Täytin kuvausta varten tämän, mutta muuten kaappi on liian iso mummin nykyiseen huoneeseen ;(Inside of the cabinet I painted a bit darker, and added a shelf (cardboard) at the bottom-half. I filled this up for the Photographing, but otherwise this cabinet is too big for Granny's current room.
