Isot kirjat-Big books

Nämä on pitänyt esitellä jo aiemmin, mutta ovat jostain syystä unohtuneet..
Nämä ovat siis albumimaisiksi sidottuja isoja muistikirjoja.

I should've introduced these earlier, but somehow I just forgot..
So, these are some album-like big notebooks.

Kannet päällystin silkkipaperilla saadakseni nahkamaisen vaikutelman, ja sidoin kirjan selkämykseen pari hammastikkua.
Alunperin näitä oli kolme, mutta Malakoffien Annevesta tuli pienimmän kappaleen onnellinen omistaja :)

I coated the covers with some silk-paper to make it look like leather, and stringed some toothpicks on a back.
Originally I made three of these, but the Anneve of the Malakoff's became a happy owner of the smallest one :)

Tyhjät kirjat-Blank books

Eilisen mainossatsi tuotti tällaisia tuloksia:

The magazine-clippings of yesturday appeared as so:

Pikku pikku muistikirjoja sekalaisilla kuoseilla.
Kirjoissa siis päällystetyt pahvikannet.
Alaoikealla näkyvä muistikirjan kanteen kokeilin After Eight-makeisen käärepaperia.
Vihreät heinät ja tiilikuvio (kannessa rotta) puolestaan löytyivät lähikaupan ilmais-reseptilehdestä :)

Tiny notebooks with misc. covers.
All the books have coated card-board covers.
The cover of the small book on the lower right-side is made of an After Eight-candywrapper. The green grass and the brick-pattern (with a rat on top) were found off the near-by supermarket's recipe-magazine :)

Helmiä-Pearls

Pieni korusetti valmistui jälleen:

Again a tiny jewellery-set was made:

Helmet pujotettu ohueen kuminauhaan, siksi siinä ei ole lukkoa.
Sormus tehty litistyshelmistä ja strassikivestä.

The pearls I thread into a thin rubber-band so there's no locket needed.
The ring is made of tiny metal stopper-beads and a strass-diamond.

Mukavia Maanantaita taas :)
Viikonloppuna tein pienimuotoista paperiaskartelua, ja Jennyfer sai tällä kertaa alkuaine-taulukon sekä hematologian kirjan.

I did some paper-crafting again the past weekend, and this time Jennyfer got herself an element-chart and a book about hematology.

Both, the chart and a book-cover are prints.

Veralle-For Vera

I did some papre-crafting again and made a little Voima-magazine:

Kansikuva on tuloste. Tämä päätyy todennäköisesti hippitädille.

A cover is a print. This apparently ends up to hippie-auntie.

Keinuhevonen-Rocking-horse

Lupescun perheen vanhasta lastenhuoneesta löytyy pieni keinuhevonen.
Hevonen löytyi aikoinaan Hakaniemen kauppahallista.

In the old nursery of the Lupescu family is found this little rocking-horse.
The horse was originally found from the market-hall of Hakaniemi.

Keinuhevonen on metallia, ja siksi suhteellisen painava.

Rocking-horse is made of metal and that's why it's quite heavy.

Hidasta postailua-Slow posting

Huh hellettä :) Pahoittelen todellakin jos uudet postaukset ovat viime aikoina olleet vähän laimeita, ajatus ei oikein kulje sillä täällä meilläpäin on todella kuuma. Oletan tilanteen helpottuvan kunhan lämpötila taas syssymmällä laskee.
Kuitenkin, olen lähinnä yrittänyt miettiä postailtaviksi yksityiskohtia talosta joita en olisi vielä esitellyt, ja tässä yksi:

Oh damn the sunny days :) I'm truly sorry if my recent postings have been a bit lame, since it's very difficult for me think because weathers around here are really hot. I believe the situation easies up when the temperature falls down during autumn.
Anyway, I've been trying to think, as posting material, some details I haven't introduced yet of the house, and here's one:

Tässä yksityiskohta Evanin huoneesta, oven yllä nähtävän kartan esittelinkin jo aikaisemmin, mutta pin-up noita on uusi. Noita on tuloste mutta sopii mielestäni hyvin poikamiehen huoneseen. Onhan Evanilla sitäpaitsi jo yksi vastaava ennestään; arkun yläpuolella :)

This is a detail of Evan's room, the map I introduced earlier is seen above the door, and the pin-up witch pic. is a new one. It's a print, but suits the room of a bachelor just fine. After all, he allready had one pin-up witch pic above hes' coffin :)

Mässyt-Munchies

Kaikille teille, joita jäi vaivaamaan mitä Evanille tapahtui verikokeen jälkeen, kerrottakoon että hän sai syödäkseen ja jätti kylän piiatkin rauhaan. Oli pikaruoan paikka.

Forall of you who got worried, what happened to Evan after the bloodtest, I could tell that he did have something to eat, and even left the maidens of the near by willage alone. He needed some fast food.

Naapuritilan isännältä meni taas yksi lammas (Evan ei ole kovin valikoiva mutta välttelee sudenraudat Perttiä paremmin), joten jäämme odottelemaan korvausvaatimusta.. taas.
Ei täysikuuta, ei lauenneita ansoja, eikä irrallisia ruhonkappaleita ympäri veristä laidunta.. eikä Evanilla ole tapana ulvoakaan. Meneeköhän tämäkin kaikesta huolimatta Pertin piikkiin?

The next door ranch master is once again one sheep short (Evan is not that picky but he can avoid any wolf traps better than Pertti), so we can just wait the reclamation letter to arrive.. again.
No full moon, no trap's gone off and there are no severed bodyparts all over the blood-covered meadow.. and Evan doesn't do howling either. I wonder if this too is said to be Pertti's fault after all?

Hominis Nocturna

Toki perheestä löytyy toinenkin lääketieteellisesti sangen kiintoisa tapaus; Elävä kuollut:

No, kukapa muukaan. Toisin kuin neulakammoinen veljensä Evan suostuu mielellään verikokeeseen. Suonia vain on vaikeahko löytää kuolleesta käsivarresta..
Stetoskooppikin on tässä tarkastuksessa tarpeeton.

Well, who else? Unlike his needlephobic brother, Evan has no issues when it comes to taking a bloodtest. Even veins are pretty hard to find from an dead arm.. Stethoscope is also useless in this examination.

Tutkimuksen ja verikokeen jälkeen Evan onkin vapaa lähtemään. Vai onko? Jokin selkeästi häiritsee hänen keskittymiskykyään.

After the examination and a bloodtest Evan is free to go. Or is he? Something is obviously disturbing hes concentration.

Taitaa olla lounaan paikka.. Eikä huolta, Evan muistaa kyllä pitää hampaat erossa sukulaisista, ja poistuu kiireellä vastaanotolta :)

Might be time for lunch.. Worry not, Evan does remember to keep his fangs off the relatives, and leaves the doctors office in a hurry :)

Lykantropiaa-Lycanthropy

Kesäloman loputtua Jennyfer sai vihdoin suostuteltua myös Pertin lääkärintarkastukseen. Näinkin mehevät Lykantroooppitapaukset kun ovat todellakin käymässä harvinaisiksi.
-Suu auki.

After the vacation was over Jennyfer managed to get even Pertti to the medical examination. After all, lycanhtopy-cases this big are getting quite rare these days.
-Open wide.

Lienee turha kertoakaan että Pertillä on neulakammo. Verikoe otettiin muutaman perheenjäsenen ja yhden ilmakuivatun kinkun avulla :)

Think it's no good to tell that Pertti is afraid of needles. So the bloodtest was taken with help of few family members and one air-dryed ham :)

Luita-Bones

Aikaisemmin esittelemäni luurangoille (tai ainakin yhdelle) löytyi käyttöä, vihdoinkin.
The skeletons I introduced earlier, came finally usefull (or at least one of them).

Leikkasin tältä jäsenet irti ja kiinnitin ne uudelleen rautalangalla. Tuloksena taipuvat nivelet.

I cut off it's limbs and re-attached them with wire. Now he has some moveable joits.

Ajattelin vielä vähän tuunata tätä.. en ole itsekään ihan varma mitä tästä seuraa, mutta kerron tämän vaiheista vielä myöhemmin :)

I toughed I'd still tune him up a bit.. I'm not that sure myself what's going to become of this, but I'll keep you all informed :)

Laatikoita taas- Boxes again

Hyviä Perjantaita taas. Viikko on ollut superlaiska, lähinnä pakahduttavan helteen vuoksi. Jotain kuitenkin sain tehdyksi:

I made some little boxes for the dollhouse out of rice-package:

Nämä, kuten edellisetkin laatikot, on päällystetty mainoskuvilla ja tulosteilla.

These, as well as the previous boxes, are covered with prints and brochure pictures.

Grilliin-For the grill

Purin vanhat korvakoruni, joista jäi yli pari koruosaa:

I disassembled a pair of my old earrings, and got a few interesting looking jewellery-parts of them:

Ajattelin tehdä näistä grilliritilän. Nämä tarvitsivat vain hieman rautalankaa ja liimaa:

So I thought I'd make a grill out of these. All they needed was some iron-wire and glue:

..ja mustaa maalia :)

..and some black paint :)

Ei tuosta nyt hullumpi tullut. Mikäli parempi löytyy jostain, niin ehkä vaihdan tämän.

Not bad, hu? Anyway, in case I find a better one one day, I'll use that one.

Swappisatoa-Swapcrop

Parempi myöhään kuin ei silloinkaan, vai? Vähän nyt myöhästyi tuo Vappu-swapin toinen puolisko, mutta Leema lähetti minulle siis tällaisen komeuden:

Liitutaulu on valmistettu balsasta, ja on todella kevyt (ajattelin laittaa painot jalustaan varmuuden vuoksi). Taulu on kaksipuolinen ja kääntyy ympäri. Aion vielä maalata taulun liitutaulumaalilla kunhan saan aikaiseksi hankkia mokomaa ;)

The chalkboard is made of balsa, and is very light (I toughed I'd place some weighs on the stand just in case). The board has two sides, and it flips around. I'm going to paint it up with chalkboard-paint as soon as I get my hands on some ;)

Lomaterveisiä-Holiday greetings

No niin, Site Admin on palaillut lomiltaan takaisin bloginsa ääreen.

So, Site Admin has returned from her vacation, and back to the blog.

Sen verran tein lomalöytöjä, että saan täytettä ensimmäiseen postaukseen ;)

I even did vacation-foundings enough to fill up the first posting ;)

Ihana, pienen pieni kilpikonnapatsas. Iso kilppari poseeraa neljän pienemmän kilpikonnan kilvillä. Tämä lienee jokin kiinalainen Feng Shui kilpikonna, viisaimmat valistakoot jos tietävät enemmän.

A lovely, tiny tortoise-statue. One big turtle is posing standing on shells of four smaller ones. I guess this is one of those chinese Feng Shui figurines, please tell me if you know any better.

Tämä menee varmaan omiin askarteluihin :)
