Aloe Vera

Edelleen vaan kasvihuone vaivaa mieltä.. Tällä kertaa askartelin Lupescuille Aaloen:

Still the greenhouse hounts me.. This time I crafted Aloe-plant for the Lupescus:

Ruukku jälleen hoitoainepullon korkki, ja kasvi itse Cernit-massaa. Multa on, no.. -kukkamultaa :)

Once again the flower-pot is a hair-balsam bottle-cap, and the plant itself is made of Cernit polymere-clay. The soil is, well.. -soil :)

Kasvitestaus-Test-plant

Kyhäsin pientä vihreää aikaisemmin esittelemäni häkkikoristeen sisään:

I made some greenies inside the cage-ornament I introduced earlier:

Kasvista ei tullut ihan sellainen kuin meinasin, materiaalit olivat huonoja ;(

This didn't appear quite like I'd hope, since the materials I used were kinda lowsy ;(

Mutta kyllä kasviksi tunnistaa. Ehkä tämä on vain talvivaihe, ja sitten keväällä se alkaa kukoistaa..

But it's still recognizable to be a plnat. Maybe this is just a winter-phase, and it will bloom at the spring..

Näpertelyä- Crafting

Lupescun kasvihuoneeseen syntyi jälleen uusi koriste:

Once again I made the new ornament to the Lupescu Greenhouse:

Pieni häkki on alkujaan korun osa (H&M), lasihelmi ja ketju puolestaan jostain vanhasta kaulakorusta.

AThe little cage is originally a jewellery-part (H&M), and the glass-bead and the chain is from some old necklace.

Tarkoitukseni on väkerrellä jokin kasvi tuonne, kunhan löydän sopivan :)

I ment to made some plant in it as well, as soon as I can find a proper one :)

Kasvihuoneesta taas-Greenhouse about

Olen hissukseen alkanut rakennella Lupescun kasvihuoneeseen jonkinlaisia lisäosia, sillä laipio vaikuttaa mielestäni tyhjältä.

Little by little I have builted some of the Lupescu greenhouse ceiling, since I think it seems empty somehow.

Tässä alustavia kuvia.. Olen ajatellut laittaa kattoon jotain amppeleita tai vastaavaa, ja ehkä korpinpesänkin saisi kätevästi paikoilleen.

Here's some pictures of the beginning.. I've been thinking on hanging some flower-pots there or so, and perhaps I could re-place the raven-nest as well.

Uudet rakenteet valmistettu puulusikoista ja maalattu pienoismallimaaleilla.

The new structures are made of wooden spoons and painted with scale models.

Lavuaari #2-Sink#2

No niin, nyt on pienoismallimaalia ;D
Aikaisemmin esittelemäni lavuaari sai hieman uuttamaalia pintaan, ja päätyi kasvihuoneen nurkkaukseen:

The sink I introduced to you earlier got some new paint on, and ended up in a right corner of the greenhouse:

Mielestäni lavuaari näyttää paremmalta vähän "likaisempana" ja käytetymmän näköisenä.
Edelleenkin viemäriaukko puuttuu, mutta tämä tuskin on lopullinen ratkaisu, niin jätän sen toistaiseksi tekemättä.

I think the sink looks better "dirtyer", like it's been used.
There still is no drain, but since this is not the final sink-solution, I'll pass the drain for now.

Ansariextra-Greenhouse extra

Lisää pieniä lisäyksiä Lupescujen kasvihuoneeseen. Istutuspöydän arsenaaliin ilmestyivät sakset ja pino vanhoja sanomalehtiä:

Some more little addings to the Lupescu greenhouse. There's now a pair of scissors and a pile of old newspapers at the potting-table:

Sanomalehdet ovat tulosteita, sakset HobbyPointista, kahvan maalasin punaisella kynsilakalla.

Newspapers are prints, and the scissors I found on HobbyPoint-store. I painted the handle with some red nailpolish.

Lavuaari-Sink

Löysin taas askartelukaapistani jotakin, joka herätti ajatuksen; Vanhan, muovisen sormusrasian:

Again I found something from my crafting-cabinet that made me think; An old, plastic ring-case:

Koska en ole yrityksistäni huolimatta löytänyt vielä Lupescujen kasvihuoneeseen vesipistettä, valmistin kokeeksi yhden rasian kannesta:

Since, even I've tried, I haven't found a suitable sink for the Lupescu greenhouse, I toughed I'd tried to make one out of the box lid:

Käytin valmistuksessa grillitikkuja, korunosia ja pienoismallimaaleja.

I used some bamboo barbeque-sticks, jewellery-parts and scale-model paints.

Hanaosa on valmistettu helmistä, pahvista, kaulakorun lukon osasta ja hopealangasta. Lavuaarin tulppa on maalattu paljetti.

Tap parts are made of some beads, card-board, necklace-locket piece and some wire.
A sink plug is painted sequin.

Poistoputken virkaa toimittaa korvakorun osa.

Drain-pipe is made of an earring-piece.

Tarkoitukseni on vielä vähän tuunata tätä sopivammaksi. Silti, kunhan löydän himoitsemani pienen nukkis-lavuaarin kaupasta, vaihdan sen tämän paikalle.

I ment to tune this up a little later on, to meke it look more suitable. Still, after I found the tiny dollhouse-sink I've been looking for at the store, I re-place this with it.

Murattia-Ivy

Hei vain taas :) Lupescun perheen kasvihuone sai lisävihreyttä syksystä huolimatta:

Hello again :) The Lupescu family greenhouse got some more greens even during the autumn:

Sain vihdoinkin laitettua lasikattoon hieman murattia, jota mietin aikaisemmin. Muratti on vanhaa muoviköynnöstä (muistaakseni Tiimarista).

Finaly I managed to put some ivy on the glass-roof, like I'd tought earlier. The ivy is some old plastic plant (from the Tiimari-shop if I remember correctly).

Murattia saisi olla enemmänkin, sillä se loppui kesken. Aion siis myöhemmin vielä modata tätä.

I think it needs some more ivy, but thet was all I got. So I'm about to tune this up later on.

Muratista varisi lehtiä askarrellessa, mutta mielestäni ne tuovat hienoa efektiä:

The ivy lost some leafs while I re-placed it, but I think the effect of the fall-out leafs is quite nice:

Joten annoin niiden olla. Sitäpaitsi, pudonneet lehdet tuovat myös syksyn tuntua :)

So I leaved them be. After all, some fallen leaves give a nice, autumnly touch :)

Isot ja pienet-Big and Small

Askaroidessani oman ruukkupuutarhani parissa vasaroin rikkinäisestä kukkaruukusta ruukunsirpaleita kukille, ja sain mini-idean:

While I was taking care of kitchen-garden of my own, and smashing a broken flowerpot with a hammer to get some clay-shrapnels for my flowers I had a mini-idea:

Nämähän ovat täydellisiä :)
Vasaroidessa syntyneille pikkumurusille, jotka normaalisti menevät roskikseen, löytyi käyttöä.

Are these perfect or what :)
The tiny shrapnels hammering caused, and that normaly go to trash, became usefull.

Kasvihuoneeseenhan ne päätyivät.. Parempaakaan astiaa en vielä noille keksinyt, mutta tarkoitukseni on vaihtaa tuo.

So they ended up at the green-house.. I couldn't come up with any better pot for the scrapnels, but I'll chance it as soon as I do.

Ehkä teen pikkusiruille paperipussin :)

Maybe I'll make them a paper-bag :)

Sain vihdoinkin laitettua listaa kasvihuoneen nurkkiin, ja pari hyllyä seinään.

I finally managed to glue some batten on the corners of the greenhouse, and even placed a couple of shelves there.

Vaikea tästä oli saada hyviä kuvia..

This was very difficult to photograph at all..

Ovenpielushyllyt ovat aika kapeat, mutta ajattelin tehdä muista vähän leveämpiä.

Shelves side by side with the door are kindanarrow, but I toughed I'd make the rest of them differently.

Kukkalapio näyttää vähän mittasuhteita..

The little spade models those measurements a bit..

Saahan näillekin hyllyille jo jotain. Ei ihan kukkia, mutta jotain lannoitepurkkia, tai sen sellaista.

Maybe plants won't fit to these shelves, but maybe some fertilizer-cans or so.

Kasvihuoneen ovi-The greenhouse door

Vihdoinkin sain jonkinlaisen oven väkerrettyä kasvihuoneeseen:

Finaly I did it, and made some kind a door for my greenhouse:

Ovi on tehty pleksimuovista ja paksusta pahvista, ja on, tietenkin, avattavaa mallia.

The door is made of acrylic-glass and thick cardboard, and, of course, it opens up.

Jos jossain välissä saan paremmat materiaalit, teen oven uusiksi, kun nuo karmit ovat vähän liian leveät..

If at any time I get myself some better materials, I'll re-make the doon because the current frames are too wide-looking..

Pieni oravapatsas sopii mielestäni hyvin puutarhaan. Hahmo on lahja äidiltäni.

This little squirrel-statue fits into the garden just fine. The figurine is a gift frommy mom.

Perjantain kasvit- Friday plants

Ja taas lankesin viherpiipertäämään.. kasvihuoneeni lumoissa :D Perttiä ajatellen Lupescun perhe sai kauan kaipaamaansa ukonhattua:

And once again I fell to crafting green.. all charmed up by the greenhouse :D So, thinking of Pertti, I finally made some wolfsbane for the family:

Ensimmäinen Kasvihuone!-The First Greenhouse!

Jo oli aikakin :) Eli sovitin tuota kasvihuonetta tuohon talon viereen, ja tuntui istuvan ihan passelisti. Kasvit laitoin sinne sisään mallaamaan lopullista ilmettä, tottakai.

It was about time :) So, I fitted the greenhouse there, next to a house and it seems to fit perfectly. I put the plants in there to model the final appearence of the greenhouse, of course.

Aurinko paistoi kuvaushetkellä niin koko pömpeli näyttää aika mustalle.. Sisällä taas vihertää:

The sun was shining again as I took these pictures, so the whole place looks pitch-black.. Inside, on the other hand, looks green:

Kuvista voi bongata tuttuja kasveja. Luonnonvalossa nämä näyttävät yllättävän eläviltä :)

You can spot some familiar plants of these pictures. On the natural light they look surprisingly life-like :)

Vapaa pihamaa kutistui minimiin.. Luulen myöhemmin siirtäväni kasvihuoneen hautausmaan viereen, jolloin kaikki seinät saavat valoa.

Any free yard-space has shrunken to it's minimum.. I think I'll move the greenhouse next to a graveyard later on, so thet every wall is exposed to light.

Tätä nurkkausta oli vaikea kuvata, enkä vielä keksinyt siihen mitään. Mutta aikaahan riittää.

This corner was the most difficult to photograph, and I didn't really figure out anything to put there. But there's plenty of time.

Yes, there's no door yet, but there will be, this version is kind of a testing, too :)

Puutarhatestailuja-Garden testing

Kokosin tähän saakka rakentelemiani juttuja pieneksi "kasvihuonenurkkaukseksi" talon viereen testatakseni vain miltä näyttää. Varsinaisen kasvihuoneen ollessa vielä vaiheessa tämä ei siis ole lopullinen tilaratkaisu :)

So, I gathered the things I've made so far into a "Greenhouse-corner" next to a house just to see how it fits in. Since the greenhouse itself is still under tuning, this really isn't the final appearence of the new garden :)

Istutuspöytä sai täytettä, ja hyvin tuntuu kestävän.

The planting-table is filled, and seems to hold up nicely.

Aurinko paistoi kivasti sälekaihtimien läpi sai kasvien lehdet näyttämään vehreiltä..

The sun was shining beautifully through the window blinds, and made the plant leaves look so green..

Suurinpiirtein samat jutut sijoittelen sitten aikanaan kasvihuoneeseeni. Tämä on siis vasta kokeilu.

About the same of these things will end up to the greenhouse when the time comes. So this solution is only a test.

Lasiseinät-Glass walls

Pohdin seinävaihtoehtoja pleksimuovin ja kasvihuoneen alkuperäisten lasien kanssa, ja päädyin käyttämään alkuperäisiä laseja, paitsi etuseinään, joka on ohuesta pleksistä (helpompi saada oviaukko). Kiitokset kaverilleni joka toi minulle jätepaloja työpaikaltaan.

I pondered with various wall-options, like acrylic glass and the original glass-walls this greenhouse had, and ended up on using the original ones, except for the front wall, which is made of acrylic glass (easier to make a doorway). Thanks to my friend who brought me some left-over pieces from his work.

I think this is just lovely, and, what do you now, just suitable ornament for the greenhouse.


Poistin korusta neulan ja kiinnitin sen liimalla tuohon oven yläpuolelle. Hyvältä näyttää:

Varsinaista ovea tässä ei siis vielä ole, ja pömpeli on laseineen vähän turhankin ilmava. Muutenkin kasvihuone-prokkis menee hetkeksi jäihin, sillä odotan rahapäivää jotta voin ostaa mm. listoja tilkitäkseni tätä. Voinkin esitellä viherkasveja tällä viikolla :)

So, this does not have any actual door just yet, and the whole place is kinda drafty. I have to put this greenhouse-project on hold until I get myself some money to buy some battens I can fix it up with. But now I have plenty of time to introduce some plants I made :)
