Nämä kirjat ovat umpipahvia, eli avata näitä ei voi. Ovat silti ihan söpöjä :)

These books are all solid cardboard, so they cannot be opened, but they're still quite cute :)

Ja pitihän näillekin tehdä takapuolisko.

Sure, I had to make backs for these, too.

Ja selkämys. Näperrykset päätyvät todennäköisimmin kirjastoon.

And a back. These will probably end up in library.

Kirjoja taas - Books again

Vaikken olekaan viime aikoina juuri postaillut, olen aika ajoin kuitenkin nukkisaskarrellut. Pääasiassa kirjoja sekalaisesta paperisälästä:

Even I haven't been posting lately, I've occasionally done some dollhouse-crafting. Mostly just books of left-over paper-clippings:

Kahdeksan kirjaa. Kirjat ovat avattavia, sivut tyhjiä. Kuvat tulosteita ja mainoksia. Myös takapuolelle oli liimattava jotain:

Eight books. These books are openable, and the pages are blank. Pictures are prints and adds. I also had to glue something on the backside of the book:

Nosferatu?

Mielestäni kuvan hahmo muistuttaa kovasti Nosferatu-vampyyria. Tai sitten vain kuvittelen, kuitenkin katsoin eilen samannimisen elokuvan josta sain inspiraation ;D
Kehykset tein tulitikuista.

I think the character in a picture resembles a lot like the vampire-Nosferatu. Or maybe it's just in my head, after all, I watched the movie with the same name yesturday for inspiration ;D
Frames are made of matches.

Don't fear the reaper

Myös tällainen hauska pahvihahmo löytyi Ravens Blight:in sivuilta, ja tekaisin moisen myös Lupescujen pihaan Halloweeniksi:

Also this funny figure was found from Ravens Blight, and so I made one for the yard of the Lupescu family for Halloween:

The figurine is three-dimensional a bit, but it was difficult to photograph:

Möröt-Spooks

Tällaisia pahvihahmoja syntyi näin Halloweenin kynnyksellä:

Here's some cardboard figurines I made for Halloween:

Hahmot ovat tulosteita, jotka on liimattu pahville. Todennäköisesti näistä tulee koristeita Lupescun Halloween-varastoon.

The figures are prints glued on the card-board. Most likely these are decorations I'll place to the Lupescu Halloween -storage.

Varaslähtö-a Head Start

Lupescun perheelle valmistui muutamia Halloween-koristeita eikä ole vielä edes Lokakuu ;D

So, I made some Halloween-decorations to the family, and it's not even October yet ;D

Pahville liimattuja, pieniä paperihautakiviä. Kyllä näillä jo yhden pihan koristelee, vai?
Eivätkö ole suloisia? Hautakivet ovat lisäksi kaksipuoleisia.

Tiny paper-headstones glued on the cardboard. Surely you'll decorate one yard with these, right?
Aren't these adorable? The headstones are also two-sided.

Nämä ihanuudet löytyivät Ravens Blight.com:in lelukaupasta, kuten muutama muukin ilmainen printti jonka tulen esittelemään myöhemmin..

These lovely things were found of the Toy Shop of Ravens Blight.com, as well as some other free prints I'll introduce to you later on..

1800-luvulta peräisin oleva, ranskalainen piirrustus esittää Normandian ihmissusia kokoontumassa hautausmaan muurin juurella.

Once again I framed a new picture for the family, and this is one of my favourites, as well :)
This french drawing from the 18th-century presents some of Normandy werewolves gathering at the wall of the graveyard.

Printtejä, printtejä!-Prints, prints!

Nämä ovat vanhoja printtejä, mutta ajattelin keksiä niille käyttöä.

These are old prints, but I toughed I'd make something up with them.

Bramin linna-juliste päätynee Evanille, ufo-juliste parin plakaatin ohella Jennyferille.

I think the poster of Bram's castle goes to Evan, and the ufo-poster to Jennyfer among those others.

Tämä on suosikkini :)

Nämä ovat ihan pahville liimattuja, eli eivät selattavaa mallia.

These are just basic books and they're just glued on the cardboard so they can't be opened.

Encyclopedia Horrifica-Mini

Kyllä taas järjenjuoksu kulki oudoilla urilla viikonloppuna.
Site admin harrasti siis jälleen minikirjoja.. Tässä siis "Encyclopedia Horrifica":

Once again, during the weekend, my sanity was in a limits of the questionable.
So, Site admin did some mini-bookery again.. Here's "Encyclopedia Horrifica":

This little encyclopedia of horror can be opened, and it even has real pages:

Sivut ovat tulosteita ja kannet pahvia. Vaati reippaasti liimailua :)

Pages are prints, and covers are made of cardboard. Needed a lot of glueing :)

Älyttömän tästä askartelusta tekee fakta, että itselläni on tuo samainen kirja oikeassa koossa omassa kirjahyllyssäni ;)

What really makes this mini-craft looney is the fact that I have this same, real life-sized book in my own bookshelf ;)

Iso paha ihmissusi?- Big bad werewolf?

Olipas jälleen inspiroiva täysikuu.. Aikaisemmin esittelemäni ilmoitustaulu sai siis ilmoituksia, tai no, ihmissusia ainakin :)

That was some inspireing full moon again.. So, even the bulletin board I made got some notes, too. Or werewolves, at least :)

The board can help Jennyfer while she is investigating the local lycanthrophe-case :)
Tiny pins are made of points of some bigger, broken pins. The cross-necklace is made of jewellery-parts, and the wolf's bane-root is made of Cernit polymere-clay (those I've allready introduced). Pictures are prints and brochure-pics.

"Bark at the Moon"

Eilen esittelemäni "polaroid-kuvat" täydensivät mukavasti hissukseen keräämääni kuvakokoelmaa:

The "polaroid-pictures" I introduced to you earlier, nicely completed this picture-set I've been collected in some time now:

Mainoskuvia, printtejä ja sen sellaisia kuvia susista, ihmissusista, ja folkloresta. Näistä Jennyferin ilmoitustaulu saa mukavasti kaipaamaansa lisäväriä..

Brochure pictures, prints and some misc. pictures of wolfs, werewolfs and folklore. Jennyfer's bulletin board will have some nice and needed extra-colour of these..

Snap!

Pienet printtikuvat olivat juuri sopivankokoisia muistuttaakseen valokuvia, joten oli pakko leikata ne talteen tutussa muodossa:

Little prints were just the right-sized to look like a photograph, so I just had to clip them, like a familiar shape they are:

What else could have I made of these? Besides, one Vampira-fan of the Lupescu Family is probably very, very happy about it ;)
I also clipped some other prints; These will end up to Jennyfer's study:
Nehän ovat ihmissusia! Ja kuuluisia sellaisia vielä, ehkä joku tunnistikin heidät?
Ensimmäinen on ihmissusi Eddie Quist; hahmo elokuvasta "Ulvonta".
Toinen on David Kessler; hahmo elokuvasta "Ihmissusi Lontoossa".
Kolmas on samasta elokuvasta, David on jo muuttunut ihmissudeksi.

But those are werewolves! And they're quite famous, too, maybe someone did recognize them?
The first one is a werewolf Eddie Quist; a movie character of "The Howling".
The second one is David Kessler; a character from the movie "An American Werewolf in London".
The third pic is from the same movie, David has already changed into a werewolf.

I guess by just looking the pic it's easy to figure out of who's room this thing can be spotted later on ;)

Löysin taas viikonloppuna Lupescujen talosta jotain, joka on jäänyt tyystin esittelemättä:

Once again, during the weekend, I found a detail of the Lupescu-house I haven't introduced at all:

Aakkostaulu lapsille. Itse taulu on kirjasinprintti, kehykset tehty pienoismallimaaleilla maalatuista hammastikuista.

An alphabet-picture for the children. The picture itself is a font-print, and the frames are made of toothpics, painted with model-paints.

Taulun voi bongata vanhan lastenhuoneen takaseinältä, mallinuken takaa.

These alphabets can be spotted of the back-wall of the old nursery, behind the mannequin.

Pikkukivaa-Small and fun

Parista hupiprintistä syntyi lautapelejä vanhaan lastenhuoneeseen:

Viikko päättyy kirjoihin..-The week ends with books..

Tätä menoa perheen on todellakin aika hankkia uusia kirjahyllyjä.. ja tilavampi kirjasto ;)

If this goes on, the family really needssome new bookshelfs.. and more spacious library ;)

Printtejä ja piirustelua-Prints and drawings

Yhä vain paperiaskarteluja.. Tällä kertaa valmistui baskilaista noitaa esittävästä printistä tehty maalaus sekä pino mystisen näköisiä pergamenttejä.

Still I'm papercrafting.. At this time there's painting made of a print of a basque-witch and some mystical-looking parchments.

Pergamentit valmistettu revityistä pikku paperiarkeista jotka värjäsin liottamalla niitä kahvi-kurkumavedessä. Lopuksi poltin niiden reunoja sytkärillä kun ne vielä olivat kosteita.

I made the parchments of ripped little papers I dyed by soaking them into a coffee-turmenicwater. Finally I burned the edges with a lighter while they were still moist.

Pergamentit on kirjoitettu mustalla kuulakärkikynällä.

I wrote on the parchments with a black ball-point pen.
