Kuolleiden aikaa-Time of the dead

Halloween on jo ovella, ja Ernesti, kuten edellisenäkin vuonna, aikoo kerätä naapurustosta ison satsin karkkia.

Halloween is allready knocking on our door, an Ernest, like the year beforethis one, is about to collect a big bag of sweets from the neighbours.

Näin juhlan kynnyksellä Site Admin toivottaa kaikille lukijoilleen mukavaa viikonloppua, ja iloista Perjantaita, siinä missä myös Maagista Marrasta, Hyvää Halloweenia, Rauhallista Samhainia, ja Riemukasta Kuolleiden Päivää :)
Sen verran otan vielä sapattivapaata, että palailen bloggailemaan wanhan jakoajan lopussa, eli To.11.11.2010.

Don't fear the reaper

Myös tällainen hauska pahvihahmo löytyi Ravens Blight:in sivuilta, ja tekaisin moisen myös Lupescujen pihaan Halloweeniksi:

Also this funny figure was found from Ravens Blight, and so I made one for the yard of the Lupescu family for Halloween:

Hahmot ovat tulosteita, jotka on liimattu pahville. Todennäköisesti näistä tulee koristeita Lupescun Halloween-varastoon.

The figures are prints glued on the card-board. Most likely these are decorations I'll place to the Lupescu Halloween -storage.

Lupescun perheellä on verrattaen vähän mitään Halloween-sälää kotonaan, eikä sitä juuri juhlisteta naamiaisasuilla ja tilpehöörillä. Perheen vintiltä kaivettiin taas esiin vanhat koristeet:

The Lupescu family really has little of Halloween-stuff in their home, but they don't celabrate by dressing in costumes and decorating. From the family's attic we dag out all the old decorations:

Kummitus on alunperin Lego-sarjaa, ja aivan mielettömän söpö :) Riippuva noita-akka löytyi joskus kirpparilta, ja tuosta oli vaikea saada hyvää kuvaa. Luuranko arkussa löytyi aikoinaan Tiimarista, ja on alunperin pyyhekumi. Kurpitsa on osa pääsiäismunasta löytyneestä lelusta.

The ghost is originally of Lego-series, and it's just so cute :) A witch hanging I found of flea-market, and it was very difficult to photograph. A skeleton in a coffin was found from the Tiimari-store many years ago, and is really an eraser. A pumpkin is a part of a toy from inside an Easter-egg.

Kuten lupasin, palailen taas lyhyehköltä syyslomaltani. Kuolleiden aika lähestyy, ja voimme kurkistella myös Lupescun perheen juhlintaa.

As I promised, I'm back from my short(ish) autumn-break. The season of the dead is approaching, and we have a change to spy on the Lupescu family celabrations as well.

Ernesti virittäytyy jo Halloween-tunnelmaan, ja istuu vintillä lukemassa vanhoja kauhusarjiksia.

Ernest is allready in a mood for Halloween, and is sitting in an attic and reading old horror-comics.

Turhaa samettia-Left over velvet

Penkoessani kangasvarastostani sopivaa hamekangasta löysin pienen pienen, punaisen samettitilkun, enkä raaskinut heittää sitä pois. Sitten kävi näin:

While I was seeking through my clothe-stock to find a suitable skirt-fabric I found a teeney-weeney, red velvet clipping, and for some reason just couldn't throw it away. So this happened:

Parilla tikillä valmistin siitä pienen samettityynyn. Taas.

With a couple of stitches I made a little velvet cushion of it. Again.

Talossa ei kohta ole tilaa, joten tämä pikkuinen päätyi Lupescujen parveketuoliin.

There's soon no more room in the house, so this little thing ended up on the Lupescus' balcony-chair.

Reality Lupescu?

Asun asunnossa jossa on talo sisällä. Joskus ajatus tuntuu hämmentävältä, ja olenkin monesti miettinyt, kuinka hienoa olisi päästä vierailemaan omassa nukkekodissaan.
Tai toisinpäin.. Innostuin taas leikkimään kameralla, ihan vaan vähäsen:

I live in an appartment that has a house inside it. Sometimes it feels confusing, and many times I have pondered, how wonderful would it be to visit your own dollhouse.
Or the other way around.. So, again I played with my camera, just a little:

Tuntui oudolta tuoda Lupescut ulos nukkekotimaailmasta, mutta nyt haluaisin kuvata heitä jopa ulkotiloissa ;D Jaa-a.. tuota sietääkin miettiä..

It felt so weird to bring the Lupescus' out from the dollhouse-world, but now I would love to photograph them outdoors, as well ;D Gee.. There's an idea..

Kaunis Perjantai-A Beautiful Friday

Pirteä syyssää houkuttelee myös perheenjäseniä luonnonhelmaan. Mummikin keräsi kamppeensa ja lähti sienimetsään:

A frisky autumn-weather lures some family members to join outdoors. Even granny gathered her belongins and went into the woods to pick some mushrooms:

Mummi näyttää muikealta vaikkei saalis koskaan ole taattu..

Granny seems confident even the catch is never sure..

Mutta metsässä on mukavaa ja virkistävää samoilla.

But the forest is nice and refreshing place to wander.

Tulikohan saalista? Ainakin kori näyttää vielä tyhjältä..

Did she find anything? At least the basket still looks empty..
