Uudistuksia - Re-news

Nyt on sitten käytetty talon lajennusvarat loppuun (luulisin..). Uutta tulokasta ajatellen oli etuisampaa rakentaa pohjoistorni, kuin raivata ullakko (missäs kummitus sitten asuisi?).

I think I don't have any space to enlarge my dollhouse anymore (I think). Because of the new-comer thoughed it was a good idea to build in a new tower than empty the attic (besides, where would a ghost live in then?).

Tuli jo ikkunalaudassa reuna vastaan.. vähän karulta näyttää tuo ulkokuori kun nuo pahvilevyjen rajat näkyy.

My windowsill is full.. looks kinda rought since the lines of the cardboards are showing.

Tuli aikasen hyvät tilat.. korkeutta ainakin piisaa. Tässä lähempää tuo "torni":

Kalteritkos siellä on ikkunoissa? En jaksanut alkaa väkertämään enää hammastikkuristikoita noihin, tuo oli helpoin vaihtoehto. Ja ehkä nuo loppupeleissä sittenkin sopivat paremmin tuonne nuo kalterit ;) Äsh, päivä paistaa vielä tuolta katonrajasta..

Are those bars in the windows? I just didn't have any patience to craft better windows with toothpics, that was the easiest choise. Besides, maybe those bars will fit even better for the tower ;) Darn, the sun is still shining through there..

Cinema-Lupescu?

Jäin miettimään, kun Delusion kyseli mm. Pertin elokuvamausta, että mitkähän leffat tuota perhettä mahtaa viehättää.. Vaikeaa, sillä eikös elokuvamaku kuitenkin kerro meistä jotakin? Itsekään en tiedä tuosta perheestä kaikkea. Ja entäs minä? Kauheaa mainostusta luvassa, varokaa vaan..
Hyvä aloittaa tiedolla, ettei Lupescun talossa tällä hetkellä ole televisiota, se oli yksi niistä mukavuuksista jotka Pertti pisti palasiksi ensimmäisenä täydenkuunyönään. Kaiken kukkuraksi se oli mustavalkovehje. Toisekseen, mummi ei piittaa koko toosasta, uutisia ehkä lukuun ottamatta. Evaniakaan ei voine sohvaperunaksi väittää, hän viihtyy lähinnä kirjojen (ja ilmeisesti myös lehtien) parissa. Evanin harvoihin elokuva valintoihin voisivat mennä Humphrey Bogartin ja Cary Grantin työt.

Kokeillaan silti: Pertti perusmies pitää todellakin sotaelokuvista ja helpoista komedioista, kärkipäässä taitaa olla tuo Full Metal Jacket ja Poliisiopisto (koko sarja). Lisäksi Pertin elokuvalistalta löytyy aina mainio Big Lebowski. Hänen vaimonsa Sabinen elokuvamieltymykset pyörivät lähinnä "karu, ranskalainen taide-elokuva" -osastolla, mutta hän pitää myös draamasta, vanhoista (pelottavistakin?) mustavalkoklassikoista, kuten Frankensteinin morsiamesta ja Wolfmanista. Vera rakastaa romanttista hömppää, Pientä suklaapuotia ja Kun Harry Tapasi Sallyn. Lisäksi hän pitää luonto-ohjelmista ja Disneystä. Epäilen, että myös fantasia voisi upota.
I was thinking, since Delusion asked me about the family's, especially Pertti's taste in movies, and what are the actual movies that interest the family.. It's difficult to say, since the taste in movies is supposed to tell something about us, right? After all, I don't even know everything about the family yet. And how about me then? This is going to seem like advertising, beware..
First of all, it's best to tell you that there isn't even a television in the Lupescu house at the moment, since it was one of the first of life-comforting-facilities Pertti crashed up under his first full moon after. Not to mention it was a black and white telly. And second, Granny couldn't care less about the tube at all, except maybe the news. I don't think I can accuse Evan of being a couch-potatoe either, he's more captivated by books (and apparently some magazines).Still, Evan might like some old films by Humphrey Bogart or Cary Grant.

Oh well, let's try this anyway: The everyday-guy Pertti likes all sorts of battle/war -films and some easy comedies the most, such as Full Metal Jacket and the entire series of Police Academy. Also the ever-so dandy Big Lebowski can be discovered from Pertti's movie-favourites. His wife, Sabine, most likely likes "ascetic french art-films" the best, but she also enjoys some drama, and the old (and maybe even scary) black and white -classics such as The Bride of Frankenstein and Wolfman. Vera on the other hand, loves romantic froth, like Chokolat and When Harry met Sally. She also likes nature-documents and Disney-movies. I think she might also like a few fantasy-movies.


Mörkö on action-tyyppi, Die Hard ja Independence Day kuuluvat suosikkeihin. Möröllä on myös pehmeä kohtansa Disneyn piirrosfilmeihin. Jennyferiä kiinnostavat lähinnä dokumentit ja lääketieteelliset asiaohjelmat, mutta elokuvapuolelta ehkä scifi ja kauhu.. Re-animator ja May kuuluvat hänen suosikkeihinsa.

Bogeyman is an action-type. Die Hard and Independence Day are one of his favourites. He also has his soft-spots for Disney's cartoon-movies too. Jennyfer mostly likes some documentary and educational films, of movies maybe scifi and horror-films.. Re-animator and May are her favourites.

Kummitus ei ole elänyt televisioaikaa, vaikka hukkaputken kylmä paiste pimeän huoneen nurkassa öisin vetää sitä vastustamattomalla tavalla puoleensa.
Toivottavasti tämä minitutkielma selvitti mielen sopukoiden solmukohtia kaikilta teiltä, jotka olitte ehtineet alkaa pohtimaan perheen elokuvamieltymyksiä :)

Ghost never lived during tv-time, even the chilly shining of the poo-tube does lure her closer like a magnet.
I hope this miniature-investigation helped to satisfy all of you, who once wondered about the movie-choises of the family :)

Esimakua - Preview

Elikkäs.. tässä kuvia uudesta nukesta, jonka sain postissa:

Right.. Heres some pictures of the new doll that just came in a mail:
   Nukke on Heidi Ottin mallistosta. Hiukset tein jo kättelyssä, oli vähän kummallisen näköinen kaljuna.. Nuo vaatteet kursin kokoon vanhasta lakanasta, ettei tarvitse nakuna toisen olla. Vyö on uuden paidan niskalapusta, rannerengas mustekynän "vyöte".

The doll is from Heidi Ott -collection. I made the hair first, after all, she looked a bit weird as a baldy.. Those clothes I sewed up of some old clippings so she doesn't have to be naked. The belt is a necktag from a shirt, and a bracelett is a pen part.

Lähikuva kasvoista. Ajattelin maalata uudet tilalle. Näyttää ehkä liian hempeältä, tai ainakin nuorelta..
Mutta hänestä siis tulee uusi kasvo Lupescun ei-niin-ydinperheeseen ;)

Face close-up. I toughed I'd re-paint the face. This looks just a tad too sweetheart -like now, or atleast too young..
But she is going to be a new face to the Lupescus not-so-nuclear family ;)

Amalia-tädin testamentti-The Will of aunt-Amalia

Adalminan lonkkaa on viime päivinä kolottanut paha-enteisesti, ja aamupostissa tulikin suru-uutisia; Hänen vanhempi sisarensa Amalia oli niin sanotusti heittänyt luudan nurkkaan ja jättänyt vähän omaisuutensa Adalminalle. Kirjeet ovat talossa harvinaisia ja lukutuokiosta tulee hetkessä perhetapahtuma.
-Mitä siellä sanotaan, mummi?

Adalmina has lately felt some stubbern ache on her pelvis, and like figured, at the morning the post-man brought some sad news; Her older sister Amalia had, well, flewn her broom for the final time, and left her property to Adalmina. Letters are very rare in the house so the opening turns into a social occasion in a matter of minutes.
-What does it say, granny?

-Amalia asui viimeisiin päiviinsä sukulaistyttönsä Jennyferin kanssa, mummi tavailee, Talo pakkohuutokaupattiin ja lähes koko omaisuus menetettiin.
-Jennyfer-serkunko? Vera kysyy.
-Juuri hänen, itse asiassa, hänen pitäisi saapua ensi viikolla.
-Että mitenkä, ei kai meillä ole tilaa majoittaa jokaista koditonta sukulaista, Pertti äimistyy,
-Entäs jos se on joku sekopää?

-Talossa on yli 12 huonetta, ja veri on vettä sakeampaa, mummi napauttaa. -Sitäpaitsi, onhan meillä tonttia laajentaa jos niikseen tulee.
-Ja kukahan taas huhkii remonttireiskana?
-Mutta veli hyvä, olisihan hauskaa vaihtelua saada vähän uutta verta tähänkin perheeseen..
-Evan, sinä pidät näppisi (ja hampaasi) erossa sukulaisista, Vera muistuttaa ja jatkaa:
-Jännittävää, tapasin Jennyferin viimeksi pikkutyttönä.
-Todellakin, mummi tuumii.. mitähän hänkin nykyisin puuhailee?
-Pakkaa varmaan vähiä tavaroitaan..
-Pertti!!
-Anteeksi, kulta.

-Amalia lived her final days with her kindred Jennyfer, granny reads out loud; Their house was compulsory auctioned and allmost the entire property was losted.
-Cousin-Jennyfer, you mean? Asks Vera.
-Exactly, as a matter a fact, she's supposed to arrive here next week.
-Say what? We don't have enough room to lodge every homeless relatives there is, astonished Pertti,
-What if she's som kind of a wacko?
(Like anyone in here could really tell, Bogeyman winks to Sabine)
-There's over 12 rooms in this house, and the blood binds, says granny. -After all, we have plenty of room to renovate and enlarge if needed.
-Right, and ho do you think is actually doing the renovation again?
-Dear brother, it could be fun to get some new blood to this family once in a while..
-Evan, you'll keep your hands (and teeth) away from any relatives, Vera states, and continues:
-How exiting, I haven't met Jennyfer since we were little girls.
-Indeed, granny ponders.. wonders what she's doing now?
-Probably packin up her belongings..
-Pertti!!

Jäämistöä ei ole sanottavammin, pari laatikollista; Kliseinen täytetty krokotiili, arkihattu ja (taas yksi) kristallipallo. Mikähän örkki tuolla ruukussa pesii?

There is not much property left in a bequest, a couple of crate-fulls; A clich'eic, stuffed crocodile, everyday-hat, and (another one) crystall-ball. What's that creature living in a vase?

Laatikosta: Kannun maalasin käsin, taikasauvat oksia ja helmiä, kasarit Lundbyn sarjaa. Lukulasit taiteltu rautalangasta.
Nämä kanansisälmykset (vai mitkä liekään) valmistettu Cernit-massasta:

From the crate: I hand-painted the jug, the magic-wands are of branch and beads. Saucepans from some Lundby-set. Glasses I made of wire.
These Chickhen-guts (or what ever these are) I made of Cernit polymere-clay:

Seriously, that looks disgusting :/ Hair is just clipped hairs.

"Hienonnetut keijukaiset" ovat kimalletta, ja "Mustapippurit" oikeasti sinapinsiemeniä. Koko natsaa.
Näillä tehotipoilla laitetaankin sitten ihmisten elämä sekaisin:

"Minced Pixies" are just some glitter, and "Black peppers" are actually mustard-seed. They're the right sized.
