Maalailua-Painting

Eilen kasvihuone sai uutta väriä pintaansa. En tiennyt ensin, maalaanko valkoisen kasvihuoneen jollain muulla värillä, vai pidänkö vanhan värin ja laitan vaan korostetta. Loppujen lopuksi, olihan se kaunis valkoisena.

Yesturday I re-painted the greenhouse. At first, I had some hard time to decide if I should completely re-paint the white greenhouse, or just high-light the original shade a bit. After all, it was quite pretty when white.

No, kompromissiratkaisu, tupsuttelin sienellä pömpelin pintaan vähän uutta väriä. Käytin tähän pienoismalleille ja sen sellaisille tarkoitettuja Revellin emalimaaleja.

Well, guess you could call this a compromise, I pressed some new paint on it with a sponge. This time I used Revell's email-paints for scale models.

Kasvihuoneen rakenteet eivät ole onttoja. Sahan käyttöä tuli taas treenattua eilen, ja tulevasta ovesta onkin jo todisteena pieni oviaukko:

Structures of the greenhouse aren't hollow. I worked up my sawing skills, and allready there's a doorway to proving the place of the upcoming door:

Kuvista tuli vähän kehnoja, ainoa tasainen seinä asunnossani tällä hetkellä on olohuoneen lakattu ovilasi..
Tänään keskitynkin kasvihuoneen lattiaan.

Sorry about the lousy photos again, the only wall-space big enough for this is, at the moment a glass-surface on my living-room door, and it has lac all over it.
Today I'll concentrate on the greenhouse-floor.

Unelma kasvihuoneesta-Dream about a greenhouse

Jo pidemmän aikaa olen jaksanut uneksia omasta pienestä kasvihuoneesta Lupescun perheelle. Eilen sitten Prismasta tarttui mukaan tällainen ihanuus, alunperin kodin ruukkukukille tarkoitettu pienoiskasvihuone:

For some time now, I've been dreaming of the little greenhouse for the Lupescu Family.
So, yesturday I found this gorgeus thing from the Prisma-supermarket; a little greenhouse ment for the potted household plants:

Ihana, eikö? Vähän kookas perheelle, mutta mahtuupa kaikki kasvit hyvin, niitä kun tuntuu riittävän. Pidän kovasti tuosta katon mallista.

Lovely, isn't it? A little big for the family, yes, but atleast all the plants fit in just right, since they're plenty. I really like the roof desingn.

Vaatii tuunausta.. lattian, oven kenties, ja niin edelleen.. Tällä viikolla siis luultavammin postailen kasvihuonetuunauksia :) Mukavaa, keväinen projekti.

Needs some tuning up.. a floor, a door, perhaps, and so on.. So, during this week I'll be introducing some greenhouse-tuning :) It's a nice,spring-project.

Tuolin jämät-Left-overs of the chair

Elikkäs.. Valkoisten tuolien lyhennyksestä jäi jäljelle tällaiset ylijäämäpalat. Toinen niistä valitettavasti katkesi joten en näytä sitä tässä. Tämä se sijaan yhä näyttää tuolille:

So.. after cutting the white chairs lower, I got myself two left-over pieces like the one in the photo. Other one of these broke, so I won't be showing you that. The remaining one still looks like a chair:

Käytin levyn rakentamiseen laudanpaloja rikkinäisestä nukkekodin aidasta. Liimasin sen EriKeeperillä.

I had some broken dollhouse-fence I used to make that plate from. I glued it up with some EriKeeper-glue.

Aika matala jakkara, vai mikä tämä voisi olla?

Kinda low as a stool, or what ever this is?

Pohjaväriä alle, käytin tumman ruskeaa:

As a base coating I used some dark brown paint:

Ja pintamaali valkoisella. Lopuksi hioin komeuden näyttämään kuluneelta.

And then I painted it with white paint. Finally I sanded it a bit, to make it look weared.

Tämä todennäköisesti päätyy kukkapöydäksi, tai vastaavaa..

I think this one ends up as a plant-rack too, or so..

Viikon loppuminen-The ending of the week

Sain sitten viimeisteltyä loput Dolores-verkkokaupasta tilaamani jutut. Lyhensin tuolien jalat, kun olivat vähän pitkänhuiskeita:

I finally finished tuning the rest of the stuff I mail-ordered from the Dolores-webstore. I cut the legs of the chairs a bit shorter, since they were a bit too high:

Aihe jäljittelee kelttiläistyylistä korppi-triskele-kuviota. Reunoissa hopeamaalia. Jokin koristelautas-teline varmaan pitäisi tehdä tälle..

This is supposed to be a celtic-style raven-triskele-pattern. There's some silver paint on the lines. I should probably make some sort of rack for the decorative plate for this..

Laatikoista tuli mieleen istutus- tai perunalaatikot, jos vaikka Lupescuillakin joskus olisi kellari.. Peili tarvitsee kehykset ja pikkukissalle kerkesinkin jo maalata kasvot:

Those boxes reminded me of planting-, or potatoe-boxes, who knows, maybe the lupescu family once has a besement.. The mirror needs frames, and I already painted faces for that little kitten:

This is perfect for the toybox in the old nursary:

Kisu lienee alkujaan Lego-Belville -sarjaa.

I believe the kitten is originated of the Lego-Belville -set.

Harmaa kerubi-The grey cherub

Dolores-verkkokaupasta tilaamani kerubipatsas sai saman käsittelyn kuin tähänastisetkin (jösses näitä sanoja) patsaat. Vanha maali pois ja uusi tilalle.

The cherub-statue I mail-ordered from the Dolores-webstore went through the same procedure as the other statues. The old paint off and the new one on.

Pysti on posliinia. Unohdin valitettavasti ottaa "Ennen" -kuvan tästä, mutta oli sellainen tasaisen harmaa, vähän kuin Pertin betonienkeli. Kerubin sävy on nyt kevyempi, ja alkuperäinen sävy kuultaa kivasti läpi.

Statue is made of porcelain. I unfortunately forgot to take the "Before"-picture of this, but it was all grey, kinda like Perttis' concrete-angel. Shade of the cherub is now lighter, and the original tone is better seen.

Tämä siis menee hautausmaalle muiden pystejen joukkoon.

This one also ends up at the cemetery, among the other statues.

Oi Dolores

Jee, paketti Dolores-verkkokaupasta saapui eilen odotusten mukaisesti :)
Tällä kertaa sisältö oli lähinnä huonekalupitoinen:

This time it included mostly furniture:

Pation pöytään sopivat tuolit ja koriste-esineitä. Pari hyllykköä, toinen puutarhaan ja toinen keittiöön sitten kun on tilaa, ja muutama pätkä muovista koristeaitaa, mahdollisesti kalmiston ympärille.

New chairs to fit the patio-table, and some decorative items. A couple of shelfes, other one to the kitchen and the other for the garden, as long as I get any new space, and some plastic-fence pieces, most likely around the cemetery.

Tämä viheriäinen lautanen oli taas extraa. Ajattelin maalata siihen jotain kuviointia.

This grrnish plate was a freebie. I thoughed I'd paint some patterns on it.

Juku!-Gee!

Hoikkikset-The thin ones

Punanaamio-kaupasta löytyi tällainen hauskannäköinen kolmikko:

The jolly-looking trio was found from the Punanaamio-store:

Luurankojen pää liikkuu, kädet ja jalat taipuvat,mutta niveliä niissä ei ole. Alunperin näillä oli hirttoköydet kaulassa, mutta otin ne pois ennen kuvaa. Söpöjä :)

Head of the skeleton is moving, so are arms and legs, but there are no joints in them. They also had nooses around their necks, but I took them off before taking the picture. These are cute :)

Kevättä-Spring time

Asfaltti paljastuu, aurinko paistaa, ja lumiset tienpenkat rypevät sonnassa. On kevättä (ja pölyä) ilmassa :)

The asphalt starts to show, the sun is shining, and still snowy, the sides of the roads are covered with crap. It is spring (and dust) in the air :)

..ja minä sain askarteluinspiksen syödessäni kanasalaattia (aivoruokaa?), ja tein taas tilauksen Dolores -verkkokauppaan o__O
Sitä odotellessa, nauttikaa keväästä, rakkaat lukijani :)

..and I had some ideas for crafting while eating some chicken-sallad (brain-food?), and made another mail-order from the Dolores-webstore o__O

Myrkkykeskiviikko-Poison Wednesday

Cernit-massan jämäpaloille löytyi yllättävää käyttöä, kun innostuin muotoilemaan niistä kauan kaivattuja ukonhatun juuria mummille.

The left-over Cernit polymere-clay pieces turned out to be quite usefull, as I started to make some long-time-needed wolf's-bane roots for granny.

Massa muotoiltu teräväpäiseksi pötköksi, väännetty kierteelle ja paistettu ohjeen mukaan.
Paistettu pötkö maalattu, somistettu kukkamullalla, ja lopuksi murrettu kahtia.

I shaped the polymere-clay into a pointy-end stick, and then twist it, and baked normaly.
Baked sticks I painted, put on some soil and cracked them in half.

Kuparivati ja lasipurkki reksvisiittaa, alunperin HobbyPointista. Purkissa onkin jo pestyjä juuria :)

The copper-pot and a glass-jar are just props here, originaly it was found from the HobbyPoint-store. There are some cleaned roots in the jar :)

"Puhtaissa" juurissa en käyttänyt kukkamultaa.

I didn't put any soil on the "clean" roots.

Odottavat enkelit-Angels on hold

Nämä enkelihahmot löytyivät jokin aika sitten Tiimarin ale-laarista. Ajattelin että noista saisi jonkinlaisia pystejä Lupescujen kalmistoon..

These angel-figurines were found some time ago sale on the Tiimari-shop. I thoughed I could make some sort of statues of them to the Lupescu family graveyard.
Vanha maali pitää ainakin poistaa.. katsotaan myöhemmin, mitä näistä tulee?

I have to remove the old paint, at least.. let's see a little later how these turn out?

Pöytäuudistus-Table re-new

Kauan sitten hankkimani vaalea nukkekodin pöytä sai vihdoin uutta väriä pintaansa:

Hioin ja naarmutin vanhaa pintaa, ja lopuksi vielä moukaroin pöytää pajavasaralla. Kuten aina :)

I weared out end scratched the old surface up and hitted with a peel-point hammer. Like I allways do :)

Minejä kaikkialla-Minies everywhere

Minejä toden totta voi löytää kaikkialta kun vaan pitää silmät auki. Shoppaillessani poikkesin SinCity-kauppaan alesuitsukkeiden houkuttelemana, ja suitsukekipot nähtyäni ne oli pakko ostaa. Lisäksi nuo laatikot näyttävät aivan hyllyköiltä?

You surely can find minies everywhere, as long as you keep your eyes open. While shopping, the incense-packages on sale lured me into a SinCity-store, and after having a glimps on those little pots I just had to buy 'em. Not to mention those boxes look like shelfs?

Ihan kuin hedelmävati tai keksitarjotin :D Toinen on kauniin pähkinäisenruskea, toinen vanha sininen. Molemmat kipot posliinia.

Just like a fruitbowl or a cookie-trade :D The other one is beautifully hazel-brown, the other is old-shade of blue. Both of them made of porcelain.
Niin, ja suitsukkeetkin oli ihania :)

Right, and the incense were lovely, as well :)

Tiinuja - Tubs

Nämä kauan sitten hankkimani pikku korvot saivat vihdoinkin vanteet. Vanteet tehty pursotettavalla kangaskohovärillä:

These little tubs I boughed ages ago, finally got themselves some hoops. Hoops are made of fabric-color sold in tube:

Molemmat tiinut päätyivät ulos pesuhuoneeseen :)

Both of the tubs ended up in a washing-corner outside :)

Tabasco

Tämä säilyke minun piti esitellä jo aiemmin, sillä sen voi bongata jopa Lupescujen joulupöydästä.. pahoittelen viivästystä :D

I was about to introduce this canned-good to you earlier, since it can even be spotted from the Lupescu familys' Solstice-table.. sorry for the delay :D

Joka tapauksessa, kun Pertti kerran sai lihapiirakoita, niin nyt on hyvä esitellä höystettä;
Tölkki on siis alunperin HobbyPointista, etiketti (vintage-) tuloste. En edes tiennyt että minulla enää on pieniä säilykepurkkeja jäljellä, kun löysin tuon sattumalta askertelulaatikostani :)

That can is originally from HobbyPoint, the label is a (vintage-) print. I didn't even know I had any of those cans left until I accidentaly found one of my craft-box :)

Hei, me leivotaan!-Hey, we're baking!

Vihdoinkin, kauan sitten tekemäni (ja esittelemäni) suolataikinakokkareet saivat vähän väriä pintaansa, ja saattavat ehkä muistuttaa leivonnaisia jos oikein pinnistää ;)

At last, the things I made (and introduced) of salt-dough, finally got some color on them, and they allmost look like baked goods ;)

Ruis- ja vehnäleipää, patonki-tyyppisiä leipiä, ja ilmeisesti naan-leipää?

Rye- and wheatbread, some baguette-type of breads, and what most likely is naan-bread?

Nämäkin litteät leivät näyttävät aika itämaisilta.. Leivät maalattu akryylimaalein, ja koristeltu mm. EriKeeperiin sekoitetulla kukkamullalla ja suolakiteillä.

These as well look like some oriental breads.. All breads are painted with acrylic-paints, and decorated with everything, for example, soil mixed with EriKeeper-glue, and with salt.

Isoja lihapiirakoita. Perttiä ajatellen :)

Big pastrys. I was thinking about Pertti :)

Ja tottakai, perinteistä pullaa. Letitetty pitko (en ole vuosiin letittänyt mitään neljällä..) ja Viipurin rinkeli.

And, of course, some coffeebread. A braded pitko (I haven't braded anything with four brades in years), and a big Pretzel.

Kori-Basket

Tällainen pieni, ja taatusti omituisimmanmuotoinen koskaan punomani kori, syntyi hamppunarusta ja rautalangasta:

This tiny, and no doubt about it, the weirdest shaped basket I've ever twined, was made of hemp-core and wire:

This is somesort of a container.. or so.. Looks a bit like a kitten-basket?

Murattitorstai - Ivy-Thursday

Toiseen pullonkorkkiin tulikin jo väsättyä istutus; Ponteva muratti. Samalla käyttöön pääsi yksi Doloresilta tilaamistani pikku hautakivistä :)

I allready made a planting to the other bottle-cap; A vigorious ivy. I also found some use for the tiny tombstones I ordered from Dolores-webstore :)

Muratti on jotain valmisköynnöstä Sinellistä. Kasvin pohjana serlapaperia ja vihreää pesusientä, kiemurat kukkalankaa.

Ivy is made of some craft-climber from the Sinelli-store. As a planting base I used paper-towels and some green, synthetic sponge, and the tendrills are plant-wire.

Lähikuvaa.. Tämä on kyllä vähän asetelman (tai ruukkuun on haudattu joku perheen lemmikki?) oloinen, ehkä tämä päätyy ihan sisätiloihin?

Close-up.. This one looks much like some sort of ikebana (or some family pet has been burried into the pot), maybe this one ends up indoors?

Maanantaimassailua-Mondaymodeling

Ostin kokeeksi erikoista Cernit-massaa, joka muistuttaa vähän kiveä, ja ajattelin jotain testikappaleita tuosta tehdä:

I bought some Cernit polymere-clay that looks like stone-surface, and I decited to make some tests with it:

Kannu ja pikari. Vähän pimeä kuva, tuo seuraava on vähän parempi:

A jug and a goblet. Photo is a bit misty, but maybe the next one is better:

Olisi voinut tulla perempikin tulos, kannu näyttää klommoiselta ja pikarin jalka on liian paksu.. Jää nähtäväksi päätyvätkö nämä lainkaan nukkekotiini.

I could've made this better, the jug looks lumpy and the coblet should be slimmer on the middle.. I'm not sure if these even end up to my dollhouse at all.

Tämä mortteli onnistui sentään paremmin. Saa nähdä meneekö tuo keittiöön vai mummille.

This mortar turned out fine, though. Let's see if that goes to kitchen or for granny.

Kivennäköinen Cernit-massaoli hauska löytö, mutta tuo on silti liian muovisen näköistä ollakseen "oikeaa kiveä". Mutta eiköhän tuolle käyttöä löydy.

A stone-like Cernit was a nice found, but that still looks a bit too plastic to be like "real stone".
But still, I guess I'll come up with some use for that.
