Ensimmäinen Swappini- My First Swap

Hehee, tätä olenkin odottanut :)
Lilith The Undying-sivujen Leema:n kanssa päätimme kokeilla eräänlaista keväistä swappia, vaikkemme kumpikaan oikeastaan tiedä mitä se tarkoittaa. Mutta saapuva Vapun/Beltanen vaikutti hyvältä aiheelta, ja tänään kävin sitten viemässä postiin ensimmäisen swappipakettini joka sisälsi Yrttitaulun, hauskan näköisen keittokirjan, ja istutettuja sipuleita vaikka keittiöpuutarhaan:

Leema from Lilith The Undying-site and I decited to try sort of a swap together, even either one of us really knew what it means. But the arriving Mayday/Beltane seemed like a good topic, and today I took my very first swap-package to the post office; It had a little herbal-picture, a funny-looking cookbook and some potted onions, maybe for the kitchen-garden:

Lupescun talossa tapausta juhlistettiin leipomalla; Vera laittoi perheen suosimia perunapasteijoita. Site Admin Wednesday puolestaan juhli postittamalla pienen yllärinkin Leemalle, mutten kerro, minkä..

In the Lupescu house people celabrated by baking; Vera made her famous potatoe-pastries. Site Admin Wednesday on the other hand, celabrated by mailing a little surprise with the rest of the stuff to Leema, but I just don't tell what it is..

Olen ihan täpinöissäni täällä, jos tämä swappailu lähtee hyvin käyntiin, niin ei tarvitse enää tuota minivaihdetta hidastella niin kovasti, senkun lähettää ylimääräiset minit swapissa Leemalle ;D

I'm just so thrilled right now, if this swapping-thing can continue, I don't need to slow down my miniature-enthusiasm 'cause I can just send all my extras to Leema ;D

Ensimmäinen Kasvihuone!-The First Greenhouse!

Jo oli aikakin :) Eli sovitin tuota kasvihuonetta tuohon talon viereen, ja tuntui istuvan ihan passelisti. Kasvit laitoin sinne sisään mallaamaan lopullista ilmettä, tottakai.

It was about time :) So, I fitted the greenhouse there, next to a house and it seems to fit perfectly. I put the plants in there to model the final appearence of the greenhouse, of course.

Aurinko paistoi kuvaushetkellä niin koko pömpeli näyttää aika mustalle.. Sisällä taas vihertää:

The sun was shining again as I took these pictures, so the whole place looks pitch-black.. Inside, on the other hand, looks green:

Kuvista voi bongata tuttuja kasveja. Luonnonvalossa nämä näyttävät yllättävän eläviltä :)

You can spot some familiar plants of these pictures. On the natural light they look surprisingly life-like :)

Vapaa pihamaa kutistui minimiin.. Luulen myöhemmin siirtäväni kasvihuoneen hautausmaan viereen, jolloin kaikki seinät saavat valoa.

Any free yard-space has shrunken to it's minimum.. I think I'll move the greenhouse next to a graveyard later on, so thet every wall is exposed to light.

Uusi piha on siis todella pikkiriikkinen..

Tätä nurkkausta oli vaikea kuvata, enkä vielä keksinyt siihen mitään. Mutta aikaahan riittää.

This corner was the most difficult to photograph, and I didn't really figure out anything to put there. But there's plenty of time.

The fungus are in a different corner than the plants.

Niin, ovea tässä versiossa ei vielä ole, mutta tämä onkin tällainen raakaversio :)

Yes, there's no door yet, but there will be, this version is kind of a testing, too :)

Mobile

Tämä oli alunperin hopeanvärinen kaulakoru, mutta tein siitä mobilen kasvihuoneen kattoon:

This was originally a silver-colored necklace, but I turned into a mobile to the greenhouse:

Maalasin metalliosat uudelleen pronssimaalilla, liimasin ripustuslenkin, ja "lasimaalasin" ontot kolot huonekalulakalla ja lasimaalilla. Olen ihan tyytyväinen tulokseen.

I re-paited the metallic-parts with bronze-paint, I glued the little hanging-loop, and "glass-painted" the hollow holes with some furniture-laq and glass-paint. Looks okay to me.

Kerran vielä..-Once more..

Tässä siis taas pari kasvia vielä viikonlopulta (en vaan osaa lopettaa).

So, here's two more plants from the weekends (I just don't know how to stop).

Saniainen tehty maalarinteipistä ja rautalangasta, eli tuli itsekin sorruttua kokeilemaan tuota nukkekodin perus-kukka ohjetta.. Lisäsin valmiiseen kukkaan Cernit-massa kärhet. Ruukku on niitä terrakotta-astioitani.

The fern is made of masking tape and wire, so even I have now tried that basic plant-making instruction for every dollhouse.. I just added some Cernit-tendrills for it. The pot is one of those terracotta-pots I made.

Tämä toinenkin näyttää vähän saniaismaiselta.. onkohan nuo kukat sitten itiöpesäkkeitä?

This other one does look fern-like too.. I wonder if those buds are sporangiums then?

Terrakottatesti- A Terracotta-test

Uusi viikko onkin hyvä aloittaa vaihteeksi jollain muulla kuin minikasveilla :) Ostin Tiimarista tällaista itsestään kovettuvaa Déco-Terrakotta massaa, sillä nukkekodin kevätistutukset mielessäni ajattelin kokeilla tehdä mm. tiiliskiviä.

A new week is good to begin with something new instead of those miniature-plants I've been giving you lately :) So, I bought some self-solidifying Déco-Terracotta clay, since, thinking about the dollhouse gardenwork, I tought I'd make some bricks.

Tiilet osoittautuivat helpoiksi, vaativat vain vähän maalia pintaansa ja Voilà. Hyvä vaan että näyttävät käsin tehdyiltä. Kokeilin tehdä myös lisää kukkaruukkuja, joilla en juuri voi ylpeillä (kamalan näköisiä), mutta eiköhän niillekin tule käyttöä.

Bricks were really easy to make, all they need is a little paint-job and Voilà. It's good they look like hand-made. I also tried to make some more flower-pots, but there really isn't anything to brag about (they do look hiddeous), still, I think I'll find some usage for them, too.

Massa kuivuu näin pienissä töissä jo yhdessä päivässä, ja massa vaalenee huomattavasti kuivuessaan.

This clay dries up really fast, in about a day, especially when the items are small as so, and the clay pales up alot as it dries.

Puutarhatestailuja-Garden testing

Kokosin tähän saakka rakentelemiani juttuja pieneksi "kasvihuonenurkkaukseksi" talon viereen testatakseni vain miltä näyttää. Varsinaisen kasvihuoneen ollessa vielä vaiheessa tämä ei siis ole lopullinen tilaratkaisu :)

So, I gathered the things I've made so far into a "Greenhouse-corner" next to a house just to see how it fits in. Since the greenhouse itself is still under tuning, this really isn't the final appearence of the new garden :)

Istutuspöytä sai täytettä, ja hyvin tuntuu kestävän.

The planting-table is filled, and seems to hold up nicely.

Aurinko paistoi kivasti sälekaihtimien läpi sai kasvien lehdet näyttämään vehreiltä..

The sun was shining beautifully through the window blinds, and made the plant leaves look so green..

Suurinpiirtein samat jutut sijoittelen sitten aikanaan kasvihuoneeseeni. Tämä on siis vasta kokeilu.

About the same of these things will end up to the greenhouse when the time comes. So this solution is only a test.

Lahottajasieniä-Parasitic Fungi

Kun nyt innostuin sieniaskartelusta, tein myös pari lahottajasientä kokeeksi.
Tämä ensimmäinen on tehty puupalan kylkeen Cernit-massasta.

Since I got hooked by mushrooms, I toughed I'd make some parasitic ones as well.
This firrst one I made out of Cernit polymere-clay, on the side of a piece of wood.

Näyttää tarpeeksi puunrungolta.. Sammal tehty pesusienestä.

Looks like a trunk enough.. The moss I made of synthetic sponge.

Nämä puolestaan ovat jotain mitälie-lahottajia. Valmistettu Cernit-massasta. Moisia voisin varmaan tehdä vaikka Lupescujen kompostiin ;)

These are some what-ever-these-are -fungus. Made of Cernit polymere-clay. I could probably make some of these to a Lupescu compost ;)

Tuollaisia violetteja näin kerran soisessa metsänpohjassa, jäivät mieleen :) Sienet on vaan niin ihanan monimuotoisia- ja näköisiä..

I saw ones like those purple things in a boggy woods-area once, and just couldn't forget them :) Fungus is just so lovely group, they're all shape and sized ..

Ei mitään herkkusieniä-No edible mushrooms

Mielestäni sienet kuuluvat osana Lupescujen puutarhaan, ja valmistin muutaman ruukullisen vähintäänkin epäilyttävän näköisiä tatteja:

Kuin valkea Kärpässieni.. Lakit Cernit-massaa, jalat rautalankaa, kaulukset silkkipaperia.

Like a Destroying Angel.. Caps are made of Cernit polymere-clay, the stems of wire and rings of silkpaper.

Näistä toisista tuli jotain Seitikkejä.. Valmistettu läpinäkyvästä Cernit-massasta. Molemmilla sienillä on heltatkin, mutta näkyvät todella huonosti kuvassa :(

These became some sort of Webcaps.. I made these of transparent Cernit polymere-clay. Both of fungus have gills too, but they don't show very well in the photo :(

Ruusuja-Roses

Pieni ruukku, jonka yläosaan istutin minibasilikan, löysi käyttöä sekin istutusastiana. Alkuperäisen ruukun alaosa oli isompi, ja askartelin siihen ruusupensaan:

That small pot I planted the minibasil, became a plantingpot, as well. The bottomside of the original pot was bigger, so I made a rosebush on it:

These photos seem darker than I assumed.. The roses themselves are from the Sinelli-shop, and leaves are from the tiimari-store.

Tämä voisi sopia aiemmin valkeasta tuolista askartelemani pienen tason päälle.

This might fit on a stand I made earlier from the white chair..

Inkiväärikasvi-Gingerplant

Minulla oli pari vuotta sitten inkivääri ruukussa kasvamassa, ja nyt ajattelin laittaa sellaisen myös nukkekotiin. Tämä kasvi on muovailtu Cernit-massasta.

A couple of years ago I had a ginger-root growing in a pot, and now I toughed I'd make one for the dollhouse as well. This plant is made of Cernit polymere-clay.

Istutusastiana (sano tuo nopeasti!) käytin kananmunakennosta leikattua palaa.

As a plantingpot (say it fast!) I used a cut-off piece from an egg-carton.

Maalasin astian ja liimasin kylkeen jonkin tulosteen. Pieni inkiväärinjuuri on päällystetty paperinarulla.

I painted the pot and glued some print on it's side. Tiny ginger-root is coated with some paper-string.

Kukkapenkki-Flowerbed

Tuli taas eksyttyä sivuraitelle tuon kasvihuoneen kanssa, niin laitanpa (vaikka viikonlopuksi) sitten tarpeeksi keväisen askarteluohjeen tänne :) Eli kukkaistutukseen tarvitaan:

Vankkaa pahvia
Sakset
Liimaa (itse käytin EriKeeperiä)
Kiviä
Kuivaa kukkamultaa
Muovikasvinosia

So, once again I got distracted off my greenhouse-project and instead I came up with this, (good for the weekends?) and I think this little project is enough spring-like :) So, this is how to make a flower-bed, you'll need:

Some thick card-board
Scissors
Glue (I used EriKeeper)
Some stones
Dryed potting-soil
Misc. plastic plant parts

-Leikkaa pahvista mieleisesi muoto kukkapenkille.

-Cut the proper flowerbed shape you like off the cardboard.

-Reunusta kivillä sen ympärys ja liimaa kiinni. Kuivata tarttumattomalla alustalla kuten leivinpaperilla tai paksulla muovialustalla.
Käytin tähän valmiita koristekiviä, mutta hiomattomat luonnonkivet tai minitiiletkin käyvät hyvin.
Sivele keskiosa liimalla ja peitä kuivalla mullalla. Voit painella multaa sormin saadaksesi sen tarttumaan paremmin.

-Glue some stones on/around it and let it dry on the non-sticky surface, like on a greeseproof paper or on some thick plastic-plate.
I used some polished decorative-stones, but all natural stones or some tiny bricks do well, too.
Apply the center with more glue and cover it with dry soil. You can press it with fingers to make it stick well.

-Liimaa kasvit paikoilleen. Voit käyttää valmiita pikkukasveja tai tehdä kasvit itse, kuten jouduin tekemään tuon näsiäpensaan omaan istutukseen..
Aloita isoista kasveista. Kääri vähän pahvia ison kasvin/puun runkoon helpottamaan liimausta, ja anna liimausten kuivua kunnolla.


-Then, glue on the plants. You can use some tiny plastic plants from the store or make them yourself, like that Daphne Mezerum I made for myflowerbed..
Start with the big ones. Wrap some cardboard on the plants/trees stem to make it easier to glue on and let the glue dry properly.

-Liimaile lisäksi pikkukasveja/kukkia maun mukaan.

-Glue on some smaller plants/flowers as you please.

Voilà :)
-Iloisia askarteluhetkiä.
Kukkaistutus on kätevä siirtää haluttuun paikkaan.

-Have some jolly crafting-time.
This kinda flowerbed is easy to move at where ever you want it.

Pöytäuudistuksen uudistus-Table re-new re-new

Aikaisemmin esittelemäni pöytä päätyi sitten takaisin viritettäväksi ja tein siitä istutustason kasvihuoneeseen.

The table I introduced earlier ended up on tuning again, and I turned it into a potting-table for the greenhouse.

Käytin tähän grillitikkuja, puulusikoita ja jäätelötikkuja.

I used some bamboo barbeque-sticks, wooden spoons and ice-cream-sticks for this.

Vähän vinohkon näköinen, mutta silti sopiva Lupescuille :)

Looks a bit crooked, but still suitable for the family :)

Ehkä joku kaunis päivä yritän tehdä vielä vetolaatikot tuohon..

Maybe one fine day I'll try to make drawers for the table..

Vihreitä rypäleitä (olisiko raakoja vielä?) ja kukkia puulaatikossa. Rypäleitä lakkasin vähän kiiltävemmiksi, ja maalasin laatikon tummemmaksi:

Green grapes (maybe they're just raw?) and flowers in a wooden box. I laqued the grapes a bit shinyer and painted the box darker:

Kasvihuone on todennäköisesti ihanneympäristö tällaiselle :)

I bet the greenhouse is the best enviroment for this :)

Veikeä vuosi- The wicked year

Outoja kasveja-Weird plants

Lupescun perheen puutarha sai jälleen lisäystä.. Kaksi ruukkukasvia. Ensimmäinen kasvi on tehty Tiimarin muovikasvin oksasta ja istutettu Mavalan kynsilakkapullon korkkiin.

Once again the garden of the Lupescu Family grew.. Two more plants. This first one I made of some plastic plant-branch from the Tiimari-shop and I planted it into a Mavala nailpolish-cap.
Toinen kasvi on punainen kalla, oksat alunperin Sinellistä, ruukku Doloresilta, ja lisänä muovikasvinosia ja rautalankaa. Ilmajuuret Cernit-massaa, sammal pesusientä.

The other plant is a red calla, branches originally from the Sinelli-store, a pot from Dolores, and there's some misc. plastic plant parts and wire included. Aerial roots made of Cernit polymere-clay, and the moss of synthetic sponge.

Ensimmäinen viherkasvi saattaa päätyä sisätiloihin.

That firs one might end up indoors.

Rosa de los muertos

Kukkia kuolleille? Ehkä vähän hirtehistä, mutta tällainen pääsi syntymään puolivahingossa:

Flowers for the dead? This could be a tad macabre, but I made it anyway:

Kaunis, valkoinen runkoruusu pienessä saviruukussa. Onhan valkoinen kuoleman väri.

A beautiful, white Europeana-rose in a small clay-pot. After all, white is the color of death.

Ruusun varret ovat oikeasta ruususta, kuivuneita oksia. Mitä löytyykään ruusun juurelta?

The stems are of real rose, some dryed twigs. What's that on the soil?

Luita! Kuolleiden ruusu kasvaa hyvin oikeilla lannoitteilla..
Luut cernit massaa, valuvat nesteet lasimaalia. Kärhet kuivunutta kasvin juurakkoa.

Bones! Rose of the dead grows well with the right fertalizer..
Bones are made of Cernit polymere-clay, and the dripping fluids are just glass-paint. The tendrills are of some dry plant roots.

Ruusu päätyi toistaiseksi patiolle valkosipulin ja tomaattikasvin viereen.

Rose ended up in the patio for now, next to a garlic and the tomato-plant.

Ja tiedän, vaikka yritän välttää mielikuvituskasveja, tätä oli todella hauska tehdä.

And I know, even I try to avoid any imaginary plants, this was so much fun doing.
