Ajattelin siis kokeilla istuttaa oikeita siemeniä pieneen saviruukkuun. Kyseessä on maailman helpoin kasvatettava; vihanneskrassi. Vedellä sen pitäisi itää parissa päivässä, eikä kasvata jättijuurakkoa. Katsotaan, miten käy:

So I tought I'd plant some real seeds into a miniature-pot. After all, this truly is the most-easy-grown vegetable of the world; A Garden cress. Just with water it should sprout in a day or two, and it doesn't grow any huge rhizome either. Well, just wait and see ho this turnes up:
Vera ilahtui uusista kukista. Aurinkokin paistaa.. voi meidän kultaista mummia, hän tuumii.
-Huomenta, tytöt ja pojat, Vera tervehtii patiolla viihtyviä korppeja.
Pöydällä olisi tilaa vielä parille ruukulle..
Vera was happi to recieve some new flowers. And the sun is shining.. Granny is such a dear old lady, she thinks.
-Good morning, girls and boys, Vera greets the ravens hanging out at the patio.
There's some room for a couple of more pots on the table..
-Pidä, Molli, hyvää huolta kukista, etteivät kaverisi syö niitä, naureskelee Vera pöydällä kyyhöttävälle linnulle.
-Take a good care for my flowers, Molly, so your buddies won't eat them, she smiles to the bird perching on the table.
Eivätkä Lupescun korpit ole koskaan mitään haittaa talonväelle tehneetkään, hyvät oltavat kun niillä talolla on. Ne tietävät, että Vera (tai kuka milloinkin) jättää niille aina ruoantähteitä keittiön oven taakse ruoka-aikaan.
Still, the Lupescu raven's have never done any harm for the family, since they like their staying at the house. They allways know that Vera (or who when ever) leaves the left-over food to the backdoor after lunch-time.
